Happy 2020, friends!!! In today’s podcast, I give a quick update on what I’ve been up to, my rough race plans for the year, and some social media updates. Hope you enjoy!

2019 MOVES
During the first few months of 2019, I completed my third Miami Half Marathon, had the first three guests ever on the podcast, and finished my fourth South Beach Triathlon. It was a great start from a triathlon and podcast perspective! Towards the second half of 2019, I switched gears and focused the rest of my free time on traveling…and big life moves.
I went on a bunch of trips to some pretty cool places like Bali, Singapore, Italy, and Switzerland! If you’re into travel vlogs, I also started a travel YouTube channel 😉 Check it out!
2020 is off to a busy start once again with the regular hustle and bustle of life! The Miami Half Marathon is approaching in a few days (I do this race every year), and I’m signed up for the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run in West Palm Beach, FL this April. I have a few travels during the first quarter of the year too, so these two races are most likely what I’ll be focusing on for now.
I don’t have any triathlons locked in yet, but I plan on doing at least one before the year ends. My current goal is to get back to my running roots and beat my high school 5k PR. I aim to accomplish this at the Corporate Run in April. More on this ambitious goal later!
Social media updates
BIG NEWS ALERT - I’ve created a new Instagram and Twitter account solely dedicated to The Triathlete Beat podcast and my swim/bike/run/triathlon adventures!
Instagram: @thetriathletebeat
Twitter: @triathletebeat
If you don’t want to miss out on new podcast episodes, beginner triathlon tips, training updates, and more…be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter!
I wanted to separate my triathlon endeavors from my personal account because I have A LOT of unposted training photos, videos, and tweets, and the idea of creating a new account for them sounded very enticing.
In addition, as I really enjoy taking photos and have a bunch of ideas in general - all my swim/bike/run/triathlon content could easily live on its own, and hopefully grow to be something really impactful in this world.
I’m also going to be stepping up my YouTube game this year - I’ll be uploading more tips for the beginner triathlete and other fun videos. If you don’t want to miss out on the action - subscribe to my triathlon YouTube channel: Jeremy Tri!
